Work in several businesses

One Ha Tang account can work at several businesses. Switch between them from the business menu or with ⌘K, and create a new one.

On this page

Your Ha Tang account can belong to several businesses: your own shops, or the clients you run support for if you are an agency. Each business is completely separate, with its own modules, customers, conversations, employees, API keys and settings. Your role can be different in each one, for example owner of your shop and member at a client's.

See which business you are in

The business menu at the top of the sidebar shows the business's name and your role there, for example You are Owner. The business is also part of every dashboard link: app.hatang.dev/<business address>/.... A link copied from one business always opens that business.

Switch to another business

  1. Click the business menu at the top of the sidebar.
  2. Under Businesses, click the business you want.

The dashboard opens the same section in the other business: if you were in the inbox, you land in that business's inbox.

Faster: press ⌘K (Ctrl+K on Windows), type part of the business name and pick Switch to ….

Ha Tang remembers the business you used last and opens it the next time you sign in.

Create another business

Do this when you start a new shop or brand that should keep its own data and staff.

  1. Open the business menu and click New business.
  2. Type the Business name.
  3. Tick the Modules it needs. You can change them later.
  4. Click Create business.

You become the new business's owner, and the dashboard switches to it. Invite its employees from Settings → Employees (Invite employees).

On your phone and Mac

In the Ha Tang app for iPhone and Android, open More, then Switch business (shown when you belong to more than one). The apps show the businesses you belong to; you create new businesses in the dashboard, or in the Android app.
